14 DAY GENERAL CLASSIC TOUR OF ISRAEL WITH EILAT
Travel on our 14-day grand tour of Israel including Eilat, our most complete general tour itinerary touring all major destinations and sites in Israel. Begin the grand tour arriving at Ben Gurion airport transfer to Tel Aviv for a day of leisure, take the opportunity to see the Old City of Jaffa nearby and the artistic neighborhood of Neve Tzedek. Start your escorted tour driving along coastal plains to Caesarea, the capital of Judea under Roman rule. Proceed to Megiddo site of Armageddon as written in the Bible. Continue to a Druze village of Daliat El Carmel, after seeing Mount Carmel, and on to Haifa for views of the Bahai shrine, and the beautiful Bahia Gardens. The next day on this Israel tour takes you to Safed to see Joseph Caro and Ha’Ari synagogues, and stroll in the Artistic Quarter. After the Golan Heights, Kuneitra, and the new Israeli town of Katzrin, and next taste the wines of this region at the Golan Winery, and after enjoying a multimedia show at Kessem Hagolan. The next day travel to Tiberias, Capernaum-referred to as Jesus' “own town,” and see Church of St. Peter. Continue to Nazareth, and visit the Church of the Annunciation. Continue on to Beit She’an, and Beit Alpha. The pinnacle of the tour starts with a visit to the Golden city of Jerusalem; explore the Old City visiting Mount Zion, the tomb of King David, walk along an ancient Roman road the Cardo, see the Jewish Quarter. Marvel at the Temple Mount, pray on the Western Wall, walk the Via Dolorosa, visit the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, to Mount Scopus, and Mount of Olives, and visit Bethlehem and see Rachel’s Tomb and the Church of the Nativity just in your first day touring. The next day New City and visit the Hadassah Medical Center, Ein Karem, to Yad Vashem memorial, and Israel Museum, to see the Shrine of the Book, and Dead Sea Scrolls, next to the Knesset Israel’s parliament, and Givat Ram Campus Hebrew University. The next day drives through the Judean Desert to the lowest place on earth the Dead Sea, to Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found, and on to the fortress of Masada. On your last full day in Israel take advantage of a leisure day exploring Jerusalem, the birthplace of the world’s three major religions. Complete your grand tour visiting Timna, the popular resort destination of Eilat in the Red Sea, marvel at Mitzpe Ramon, Sde Boker, and return to Tel Aviv for your departure back home.

Welcome to Israel, upon arrival into Ben Gurion International Airport, you will be met and assisted by our airport representative. Transfer to Tel Aviv – Check in at your hotel for overnight.

Day 4 - SUNDAY
Caesarea / Megiddo / Druze Villages
Travel along the coastal plain to Caesarea, capital of Judea under the Romans. See the excavations of the Crusader city, the Roman port, aqueduct and the amphitheater that has been restored to its former glory as a concert venue. Proceed to Megiddo, identified as the site of Armageddon and explore the archaeological excavations including the preserved water supply system. Continue to Daliat El Carmel, a Druze village and enjoy a late lunch at a local restaurant. Proceed via Mount Carmel to Haifa for a panoramic view of the Haifa Bay and Golden domed Bahai shrine and Bahia Gardens.

Day 5 – MONDAY
Safed / Golan Heights / Winery
Begin your Israel tour with a drive to Safed, center of the Kaballa movement. Visit the Joseph Caro synagogue and the Ha’Ari synagogue, the most important synagogue in this city, continue with a stroll around the Artist’s quarter. After we continue to the Golan Heights and stop to see the former Syrian bunkers, Kuneitra and the new Israeli town of Katzrin. We'll continue to the Golan Winery for a tour and wine tasting. After proceed to Kessem Hagolan, a multimedia presentation of the area and its history.

Day 6 – TUESDAY
Sea of Galilee / Nazareth
Start the day with a visit to Tiberias and continue to see Capernaum–referred in the Bible as Jesus “own town,” and see the excavations of the synagogue, and see the modern octagonal Church of St. Peter. Next we proceed to Nazareth and visit the Church of the Annunciation. We’ll continue our tour driving via Beit She'an, the largest archeological park in Israel with amazing excavations from the Roman and Byzantine periods. This site rivals those of ruins in ancient Rome. Next on your tour we stop at Beit Alpha to see beautiful mosaic floors of a synagogue from the Byzantine era depicting the zodiac.

Day 7 - WEDNESDAY
Jerusalem: Old City
We begin our Jerusalem tour of Israel in the Old City visiting Mount Zion to see the tomb of King David and the nearby Room of the Last Supper. Walk through the Cardo, the main street of Jerusalem 2000 years ago, and on to the Jewish Quarter. Experience the Temple Mount and the Western Wall- The holiest site in Judaism and an original wall that retained the Temple. Walk along the Via Dolorosa on the Stations of the Cross, and continue to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, after proceed to Mount Scopus and then on to Mount of Olives for a grand panoramic view of the Old City. After we tour Bethlehem * to visit Rachel’s Tomb and Church of the Nativit.

Day 8 - THURSDAY
Jerusalem: New City
After a delicious Israeli breakfast we drive to Hadassah Medical Center in Ein Karem to see the beautiful Chagall stained glass windows. After continue to a must stop while on a tour of Israel in Yad Vashem, the memorial to the Holocaust. Next visit the Israel Museum, and the Shrine of the Book where the Dead Sea Scrolls are housed, and the new holy land model – a miniature replica of Jerusalem as it was during the second Temple period. We’ll continue our Jerusalem tour driving to the Knesset, Israel’s parliament building, and see the Menorah with the biblical emblems, and the Givat Ram Campus Hebrew University.

Day 9 - FRIDAY
Qumran / Massada / Dead Sea
On this day we start our tour with a drive in the Judean Desert and explore the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth almost 1300 feet (400 meters) below sea level. We'll stop at Qumran, the site where the Dead Sea Scrolls where found in 1947 by a Bedouin boy. We’ll continue to perhaps one of the most impressive sites in Israel to the fortress of Masada, and the last stronghold of the Jews after the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 A.D. Here we ascend by cable car high up to Masada and tour the ancient fortress exploring the food storeroom, water irrigation system, bath houses and Herod’s Palace. After we descend Masada by cable car, time and weather permitting, an opportunity will be provided to float on the Dead Sea.

Timna / Underwater Observatory / Eilat
We'll travel south on our holy land journey through the Negev desert; Explore Timna valley and see the copper mines and King Solomon’s pillars and marvel at the huge multi-colored rock formations. Continue to Eilat and stop to visit the Eilat's underwater observatory, one of the largest seaquariums in the world, built into a coral reef.

Day 13 - TUESDAY
Mitzpe Ramon / Sde Boker / Tel Aviv
We depart Eilat via Mitzpe Ramon; stop to gaze into the Ramon crater, a geological wonder; Proceed to Sde Boker Kibbutz and see Ben Gurion's hut and grave overlooking the magnificient Zin valley. Stop for a camel riding experience and a visit to an authentic Bedouin tent; learn about the Bedouin hospitality and enjoy a light lunch. Continue to Hatzerim and visit Israel's airforce museum to view the planes and equipment and to hear the story of this brave fighting force. Continue to Tel Aviv.

Breakfast at your hotel, please check out from your room at 12 noon and leave your luggage with the Hotel Concierge. Pick up time from the hotel lobby to Ben Gurion airport will be 4 hours before your departure flight.
